Marsh Elementary School

Parents: We continue our commitment to increase student attendance this year. Classroom learning starts at 9:00 a.m. A student who arrives between 8:56 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. is considered tardy. If your child is tardy coming to school, an adult is required to come to the office to sign him/her in for the day. Students arriving after 9:45 a.m. will be considered a half-day absent from school. Once the school day starts we ask that you drop off your students and they will be escorted to class by school employees for the safety of our building and to protect the learning in our classrooms. Similarly, students who are picked up from school prior to 2:45 p.m. will be marked a half-day absent from school. When students arrive late or are picked up early, it takes away from precious learning time in the classroom.

Parents: Car Rider Dismissal -Pick up Safety If your student is a car rider or walker leaving the school at the end of the day, please be mindful of the big trucks going in and out of the back parking lot. I am going to tell students today to start using the sidewalk located on the right side (by the blacktop) for safety out back.

OME Basketball for the 2024 - 2025 season will begin in February. Here are the teams. Practice for both teams will be: Thursday - Jan. 23 - - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday - Jan. 30 - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Monday - February 3 - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. The game schedule will be coming out soon.

PROJECT SCOPE: As you know District 186 regular calendar students do not return to school until Tuesday, January 7 (Balanced Calendar students return January 14th). Student Council - Holiday Spirit Week

This week for 3 days.....student council will be selling "Gratitude" thanksgiving bracelets during the lunch hour for $1.00. We are very grateful for wonderful Owen Marsh families, friends, and faculty.

PTO fall fund drive - We are halfway to our goal! Thank you to the families who have already supported the PTO fall fund drive. We are halfway to our goal! Can we find 20 more families to donate the suggested $50? No Sell School! Owen Marsh Elementary students are not asked to sell products through door to door fundraising, instead the PTO asks each family to provide a monetary donation at the start of the year and to support our activities throughout the year. Donations are used to support programming for students, materials for teachers, projects around the school, and to show appreciate to school staff throughout the year. The PTO suggests a $50 per family donation, but any amount is appreciated. Donations are tax-deductible (please email if you need a receipt). See the flyer for two easy ways to pay.
